02The method

Training
at HAIR Architect.

This is what the training looks like, step by step. From consultation and theory to hands-on practice on models.

  1. Phase 01

    Consultation and cut plan

You'll learn how to analyze a client properly, read the head shape and hair type, and choose the ideal approach before you ever pick up the scissors.

  2. Phase 02

The basics you can't do without

Correct tool grip and confident work with clippers, scissors and a comb. When the basics are right, the whole cut falls into place.

  3. Phase 03

    Theory

The alpha and omega of cutting. You'll understand the principles a haircut is built on, so every decision at the chair makes sense.

  4. Phase 04

    Hands-on training on models

Cut, cut and cut! You practice most of the course on mannequins, and on the last weekend you try the cut on a live model.

  5. Phase 05

We'll find out where you're falling behind

At the end we go through your work, name your weak spots and agree on what to practice next, so you keep improving after the training.

03About me

Hi, my name is Alex
and I’ve been a barber for more than 8 years.

When I started out, I didn’t know much about hair. I taught myself, often fumbled around and didn’t understand a lot of things. It was a completely new world to me, one I genuinely wanted to understand. Everything changed the moment I started digging deeper into hair and understood the principles that cutting is built on. Only then did it all start to make sense.

That journey is exactly where HAIR Architect came from.

My goal is to pass on the experience I’ve gathered over the years, so you don’t have to learn by trial and error. I want you to learn the right way from the start, to understand what you’re doing instead of blindly copying techniques.

At the training you’ll understand the principles of working with hair, gain certainty while cutting, build your confidence and learn to handle different hair types and clients.

The courses are aimed primarily at beginner and slightly advanced barbers, but also at anyone who cuts hair at home and wants to take their skills to a professional level. Whether you want to build solid foundations or push your abilities higher, you’re in the right place.

Mannequins first, then a live model

You practice most of the course on mannequins, where you can try things and make mistakes. On the last weekend you cut a live model with Alex at your shoulder.
